Trevor Lea is Managing Director of leading UK interiors’ manufacturer Flitetec and its sister company FliteTrak, which designs and manufactures intelligent monitoring systems. With over 35 years’ experience in the aerospace industry, Trevor is passionate about providing high tech, innovative, engineered solutions and outstanding customer service to customers. With this ethos, during his 2 years of leadership, Flitetec has doubled its revenues and increased its margins by broadening its product range, investing in technology and developing its people.
FliteTrak was founded in early 2017 to bring to the airline market a unique wireless monitoring system which has applications across many market sectors from marine to rail, petro-chem to water purification, defence to aerospace. Based upon proven technology and an award winning core system ViatorAero™, it helps reduce crew workload, increase safety and improve passenger experience by collecting data from sensors in seats and within the cabin providing instant information about occupation, position of tray / back rest / seat buckle and passenger movement.
Trevor began his career at British Aerospace serving an apprenticeship and over 13 years developed his experience through engineering, manufacturing and commercial positions. He continued his career at GKN Aerospace for 4 years and then became European Business Director for Northstar Aerospace, a north American gearbox and transmissions company for 11 years. In 2013 he became Group Business Director for STAG, an aerospace fastener and product distributor, prior to taking over the running of Flitetec in 2015 and co-founding FliteTrak in 2017.
